Ben Pender-Cudlip, Principal
Capturing reality with the eye of a cinematographer, ethics of a journalist, and OCD of an artist.
Ben creates nonfiction films that explore our common experiences and feelings as human beings. Documentary is a unique opportunity to pause the world and find meaning in the threads that bind us together. It’s a struggle to do it right and do it well, but a more fulfilling journey for the challenge. Ben has worked for Apple as a technician and in Maine as a whitewater raft guide. He graduated from Bard College at Simon’s Rock, and lives in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jack Cushman, Creative Strategy
Ideas crazy enough they might just work.
Jack develops and directs the scripted narrative elements of our productions, guiding them well off the beaten path to fresh creative ground. He is a born interdiscliplinarian: when not directing independent film, he is a professional web programmer and appellate attorney. Jack is a graduate of Bard College at Simon’s Rock and Northeastern Law School.
Audrey Knuth, Audio Engineer
Sound is half of film. Beautiful audio makes a difference.
Audrey is responsible for making our soundtracks all they can be: she polishes location audio, engineers recording sessions, and finesses sound levels. She works as a live audio engineer with local venues and fiddles with the Free Raisins. Audrey is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in music production and engineering.
David Guerette, Composer
No stock music here—we compose custom scores that fit like a glove.
David is a versatile electronic musician and composer. He creates scores and soundscapes tailored to the mood and tempo of our films. Performing as Bigadiga and also as half of the electronic music duo Connector, David is a graduate of Brandeis University with a degree in linguistics and music.
Kristen Salerno, Editor
Exploring nonfiction as a means to educate, investigate, and express.
Kristen freelances as an audio and video editor, plays the saxophone, and tinkers with effects and ambiences that vibrate the air molecules around her. She fell in love with documentary during the first fifteen minutes of Errol Morris’s The Thin Blue Line. Kristen has a degree in postproduction from Emerson College.
